Raul Rosas Jr. closed UFC Fight Night at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas with a fifth-round statement. The 21-year-old stopped Raoni Barcelos by TKO (slam) at 1:38 of Round 5 in his first UFC main event, stretching his winning streak to six.

They had traded for four rounds before Rosas came out looking to take the fight to the veteran in the fifth. A little over a minute in, he toppled Barcelos to the canvas; the Brazilian went limp, and Rosas signaled the referee to wave it off. UFC’s official recap called it a huge step up that he passed — the kind of finish that keeps a young bantamweight climbing.

The card around him was busy. In the co-main, Ailin Perez edged Norma Dumont by unanimous decision, 29-28 across the board, for her seventh straight win, and again called for a championship opportunity. Luis Hernandez, on two days’ notice, submitted Sedriques Dumas with a guillotine at 0:50 of Round 1 for his first UFC win — he is now 8-0 with a 100 percent finishing rate, the third Dana White’s Contender Series Class of ’26 fighter to debut with a stoppage after Anthony Wint and Bilal Hasan.

The Ultimate Fighter 34 finales both found endings. Tina Black became the first Brazilian woman to win The Ultimate Fighter, stopping Melissa Amaya by TKO (strikes) at 3:19 of Round 2 in the strawweight tournament final. In the bantamweight finale, Ilimbek Akylbek was awarded a disqualification win over Mahammadali Osmanli at 2:19 of Round 1 after Osmanli landed a full-force knee to the head while Akylbek was still down on his knees. Akylbek is the first fighter from Kyrgyzstan to win TUF, and the first to do it by disqualification.

On the prelims, Brady Hiestand submitted Rinya Nakamura in the second round with a choke from the back, moving to four straight wins and three straight finishes. Rodolfo Vieira ground out Robert Bryczek by unanimous decision (30-27 x3) to go 7-5 inside the Octagon and 12-5 overall. Christian Edwards earned his first UFC victory, stopping Rodolfo Bellato with a left hook at 1:47 of Round 3. Elves Brener knocked out Josiah Harrell at 4:14 of Round 1. Montel Jackson avenged his first professional loss — Ricky Simon beat him in Jackson’s 2018 UFC debut — with a TKO at 2:39 of Round 2. Alatengheili took a split decision over John Castaneda (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) for his seventh UFC win. Yazmin Jauregui, in her first appearance in two years, stopped Vanessa Demopoulos at 1:02 of Round 1 and is now 5-2 in the UFC.
