Mikey Musumeci steps up for a featherweight show match against Bryce Mitchell as UFC BJJ 11 hits the Meta Apex on Thursday, September 24, streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
UFC’s September 16 card update frames the main event as a special 145-pound showcase: Musumeci, the reigning UFC BJJ bantamweight champion, takes the bump in weight against the UFC featherweight. Tickets are on sale now at AXS.com.
Musumeci enters the Bowl at 4-0 with four submissions, competing out of Las Vegas. UFC lists finishes of Kevin Dantzler, Shay Montague, and Keven Carrasco among his Bowl wins and calls this his fifth UFC BJJ main event. Mitchell is listed at 0-0 for UFC BJJ, competing out of Searcy, Arkansas. The same official write-up notes his MMA submission wins over Santiago Luna and Matt Sayles, a twister finish in the Octagon, and that he holds a BJJ black belt.
The co-main puts the UFC BJJ light heavyweight title on the line as champion Mason Fowler meets Nick Rodriguez. UFC bills it as Fowler’s chance to even the score after a 2024 decision loss to Rodriguez. Fowler is listed at 3-0 with two submissions out of San Jose, with title wins over Devhonte Johnson, Pedro Machado, and David Garmo. Rodriguez, out of Austin, is listed at 1-0-1 with one submission after a first-round finish of Joao Nicolite in his light heavyweight debut.
Former UFC BJJ women’s featherweight champion Aurelie Le Vern returns against Rana Willink. Elsewhere, Jay Rodriguez makes his UFC BJJ debut at middleweight opposite Kevin Beuhring, Pedro Machado meets Lucas Norat at middleweight, Ryan Elgarico faces Jordan Holy at featherweight, Mason Stritzel meets Seve Zazueta at middleweight, and Kolby Gonzalez takes on UFC BJJ Opens qualifier Daniel Deeder at welterweight.
