Jean Silva and Jose Miguel Delgado headline Noche UFC on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona — a five-round featherweight main event built around Mexican Independence Day weekend.
Delgado stepped into the spot on short notice after Yair Rodriguez pulled out of an anticipated matchup with Silva. It is the Arizona fighter’s sixth UFC appearance, with about three weeks to prepare for 25 minutes against the No. 6-ranked featherweight, and it lands roughly a three-hour drive from where he grew up in Yuma.
“I’ve been thinking about this main event since I was 10 years old,” Delgado told UFC.com. “I’ve been doing those reps in my head. I’ve been doing those reps physically for 18 years. I’ve put every ounce of myself, man. I’ve sacrificed so much, so much. There’s no other road besides it. I’m going to give it everything I got, but it’s already written.”
“I see it so clearly. It is written in the stars. I’m going to knock out Jean Silva. I’m going to fight Alexander Volkanovski. I’m going to be the world champion. I’m going to defend that belt a lot. I’m going to be one of the best in the world.”
The timing fits a run that has moved fast. Per UFC.com’s August feature, Delgado signed via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024, stopped Connor Matthews in under three minutes on debut, knocked out Hyder Amil in 26 seconds, lost to Nathaniel Wood at UFC 321, took a split decision over Andre Fili in March 2026, then beat Austin Bashi in Oklahoma City about a month before this booking. UFC.com’s piece also notes Silva has all but two of his 17 wins by stoppage.
Noche UFC is the promotion’s first event at Desert Diamond Arena and the first of seven high-profile live Arizona dates over three years through TKO’s partnership with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance. The card streams on Paramount+. Prelims begin at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT; the main card is at 5:00 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. PT.
