Beat That Pesky Knee Shield With An X Pass.
Aaron teaches a simple but effective X Pass to beat either a high or low knee shield.
The key details here are first flattening your opponent and getting your elbow inside the knee. Once that’s been achieved you can simply kick your leg back and hop over to pass the high knee shield. If they have a low knee shield with crossed ankles Aaron has a great detail where you twist your body to get your leg below their knee. From there you can kick back hard separating their ankles and hop over to pass.
This is a great pass for lighter more nimble grapplers. Especially if you’re up against a stronger, heavier, and hopefully slower opponent.
